The rules
- Squad of 14
- 2 keepers, 6 batters, 5 bowlers, 1 any. All-rounders fill up to 2 batting and 2 bowling slots and the any slot: 5 at most.
- The draft
- The order is drawn at the start and snakes: 1 to the last, then back, for 14 rounds. Each pick has a clock: 30 s to 2 min.
- Your queue
- Line up the players you want. If your clock runs out, the first one who fits is picked for you; with none, one at random.
- The season
- An XI and a captain every gameweek, free agents, waivers and trades. Head to head or total points.

Every rule in full
Squad of 142 wicketkeepers · 6 batters · 5 bowlers · 1 any. All-rounders can fill 2 batting slots, 2 bowling slots and the any slot: 5 at most. A player who would break that shape cannot be picked.
Playing XI1 wicketkeeper, 3 to 6 batters, 3 to 6 bowlers and up to 4 all-rounders (2 batting, 2 bowling), picked from your 14.
The orderDrawn at random when the draft starts. It snakes: the first pick of round 1 is the last pick of round 2, and so on for 14 rounds.
The clockEach pick has the same clock, chosen by the host: 30 seconds, 1 minute, 90 seconds or 2 minutes. Admins can pause the draft.
Your queuePlayers you would like, in order, set in the lobby or during the draft. When your clock runs out, the first in your queue who fits your squad is picked for you; with none, one at random. Nobody else sees your queue.
Leaving earlyGone for over a minute, you sit out: your picks are made for you at once, from your queue, then at random. A manager who stays and picks does better.
Computer managersEmpty seats can go to computer managers. They pick one of the best players left who fits their squad, by our projection, in a couple of seconds.
Player poolThe 201 players most likely to be wanted in IPL 2027, the same pool as the auction game. IPL 2027 leagues draft from the real IPL squads, once the IPL's own auction has picked them.
After the draftYour league plays the IPL season week by week: an XI, a captain and a bench each gameweek, free agents, waivers and trades. Head to head or total points. Until IPL 2027 leagues open, a league plays a practice season, IPL 2026 replayed, and ends with it.
